About NCC at CSB Jhanjeri

Navy Wing  affiliated to 1st Punjab Naval NCC, Nangal

The NCC unit (Army wing) at CSB is functional under the Leadership of Lt. Rohan Dadhwal, who impressively Completed his PRCN SD 166 & DC 36 course from NCC OTA at Kamptee, Maharashtra.

Aim

  • To develop qualities of Character, Courage, Comradeship, Discipline, Leadership, Secular Outlook, Spirit of Adventure and the ideals of Selfless Service amongst the Youth of the Country.
  • To Create a Human Resource of Organized, Trained and Motivated Youth, to Provide Leadership in all Walks of life and be Always
    Available for the Service of the Nation.
  • To Provide a Suitable Environment to Motivate the Youth to Take Up a Career in the Armed Forces.

Eligibility Criteria (NCC 3 Year Course)

  • Only four-year and three-year courses are eligible for the NCC (Army, Navy, and Air Force) Wing.
  • Selection Criteria: – As per NCC Rules.
  • Candidate should be physically & mentally fit.
  • 55% and above marks are required in 10th & 12th.
  • Preferences for extra activities like (Singing, Dancing, Sports, Dramatics, Special Achievements, etc.)

Certificates

Senior Division and Senior Wing: Cadets recruited from colleges fall under the Senior Division and are under the command of the Associated NCC Officer (ANO).

  • C-Certificate is the highest recognition of the training and qualification of a Senior NCC cadet.
  • B-Certificate is the initial recognition of the training and qualification of a Senior NCC cadet.

NCC Activities’ Focus is on instilling discipline in the souls of the cadets, besides fostering healthy competition for the ranks, while keeping the greater interest of the nation in mind to create prospective officers for the Armed Forces. The National Cadet Corps is the only organization of its kind which imparts Leadership, Discipline, Integration, Adventure, Military, Physical and Community Development training to over 13 lakh youth of the country.

Benefits

The central Government provides various incentives to Cadets with NCC ‘B’ and ‘C’ certificates for recruitment into the Defense Forces.

NCC Special Entry Scheme is applicable for SD Wings graduates in OTA in the age group of 19-25 years with 50% marks through DDG of states for direct interview (SSB) every year. The Cadets are exempted from the CDS examination conducted by UPSC.

NCC (Army) ACHIEVEMENTS

SUO VISHAL was selected for the Republic Day Camp which was held at Delhi on 26-Jan-2019. He was selected in PM Rally.

CSBTC JHANJERI also awarded as the most disciplined college in the ATC.

Cadet Jyoti and Cadet Neha received the medal for the Best Cadet in the ATC-2019 camp.

Cadet Gaurav Mishra received the gold medal for the Shooting Competition held in the Annual Training Camp -2019

Cadet Ruchi Mishra and Cadet Manpreet Kaur secured the 1 st position in cultural event held at ATC.

In 2019 the NCC cadets of CSBTC Jhanjeri won 10 Gold medal, 2 Silver medals in the ATC-2019.

Cadet Prabhjotkaur and Cadet Akhilsharma were selected for Pre-TSC that is the ThalSena Camp.

Meet the Team

Lt. Rohan Dadhwal – one of the 456 ANOs( Associate NCC Officers) who pass out from NCC Officers Training Academy, Kamptee, Maharashtra. Bringing laurels to his college CSB Technical Campus, Jhanjeri Lt. Rohan Dadhwal passed out his PRCN SD 166 & DC 36 course impressively from NCC OTA at Kamptee, Maharashtra, on 31st August 2019 after going through a rigorous training programme of three months duration, joined back as NCC Officers. During the training, Lt. Rohan Dadhwal did fabulous work at the Academy. He was the parade 2IC (2nd In Commander) of POP & as well as he was also appointed as course QM (Quarter Master) of the Senior Division. He was honoured as Best Parade Commander, Best in Drill & Best in Turn out during the Inter Company Drill Championship by the OTA Commandant Maj. Gen IJS Hundal. During the course, he was also very active in sports. He was one of playing seven players in the Handball team, which stood in first position in the Inter Company Handball Championship.
